While there have certainly been tons of leaks ahead of time about what Nokia and Microsoft have planned for their first Windows Phone 8 devices, the products will get their official unveiling later this morning. We have already walked over to the venue where the two companies will be holding their press conference in New York City.
As you can see, the badges for the event are already prepared (in plastic, no less). The actual venue is located on West 22nd Street in Manhattan, across the street from Chelsea Piers. Workers are still bringing in equipment to the buildings but we should start the press conference sometime around 10 am Eastern time.
You would think that Microsoft would take the opportunity to put up yet another Surface street ad image near the Nokia press event, just to generate more buzz for the upcoming Windows 8 tablet. However, it's likely that Nokia would not want anything to detract from their own hardware reveals later today.
So will there be any surprises at this press event? Will there be a reveal of a Windows 8 tablet from Nokia (we personally doubt it, but you never know)? Stay tuned for our live blog later this morning.
