It wasn't that long ago that Snap Inc. unveiled details for its unique camera eyewear, Spectacles. Since then - a lot has happened. The company decided to have a bit of fun with the release and distribute it through a very non-traditional method by using a "Bot" vending machine. While the first one landed in Venice Beach, California, the Spectacles Bot didn't stay close to home as it traveled north and even west to the Grand Canyon. As the countdown timer remains dormant for now, the Spectacles vending machine has taken residency in New York as the company has erected a temporary pop-up shop with more traditional store hours.
For those in the area, Spectacles will be available to purchase every day of the week and even on the weekends. For now, the hours of operation are Monday through Friday starting at 4pm and ending at 10pm, while the on the weekends, the store will open much earlier at 6am, but will close at 12pm. Although the hours might not be long, it certainly gives those that want a pair a better chance, since there is a set schedule at the dedicated location.
If you can't get there immediately, don't fret, as the shop will be open through New Year's Eve. However, the store will be closed on November 24th as well as December 24th and 25th.
