Microsoft slashes 15% off entry-level Surface Book in the UK

Last month, Microsoft launched exclusive deals in the UK for Windows Insiders, offering them significant discounts when purchasing a Surface Book with an Xbox One S console. But if you're not on the Windows Insider Program, or the cost of those bundles was still a bit too high for your budget - even with the discount - you might be interested in a new offer available in the UK.

You don't need to be an Insider to take advantage of this one, as it's available to all buyers on the Microsoft Store. The company has slashed 15% off the price of its entry-level Surface Book, which has an Intel Core i5 (Skylake) processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage (although it lacks the discrete GPU available on all other Surface Book models sold in the UK).

That discount reduces its price by £195, from £1,299 to £1,104. The offer applies only to that specific Surface Book model, and will remain available until October 17.

In the coming weeks, Microsoft is expected to unveil its new all-in-one desktop PC, along with 'refreshed' versions of its Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. A new Surface Mouse, Surface Keyboard and Surface Ergonomic Keyboard are also likely to make their debut soon.
