Resident Evil 2 remake gets a demo this week, but it only lasts for 30 minutes

The upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake by Capcom will be getting a demo quite soon, letting players step into the shoes of Leon Kennedy before the game officially releases. However, this demo is coming with a time limit, where players will only have a 30-minute window to see what's on offer.

Named 1-Shot, the demo will take place in the R.P.D. Station, and there aren't any restrictions placed on exploration or the amount of lives players get. Just, if the timer runs out while playing, there is no way to try and redo anything or reset the timer.

Whether the objective is completed or not, however, all players will get to see an exclusive trailer at the end of their allotted time limit - exclusive until someone uploads it to the internet that is.

Capcom gave some advice to interested players keen on taking a shot at the demo as well:

Play quickly and carefully if you want to see the end of the demo, and be sure to pick up any useful items you see laying around while conserving your ammo. It may be tempting to try and defeat every zombie that stands, or crawls, in your way, but sometimes it’s better to use a few bullets to make an escape route than empty a clip on a monster that refuses to stay dead.

The Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo will be available to download on Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 from January 11 through 31. The game will be officially releasing on those same platforms later this month on January 25.
