Samsung's refurbished Galaxy Note7 could arrive as the Note FE

With the successful launch of its Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung can finally move past the fiasco that plagued it for the better part of last year. While the Galaxy Note7 might now be a distant memory for those in the United States, others in selected regions will be faced with the decision of whether or not to purchase a refurbished unit of the Note7 when it becomes available.

Although there were many rumors and denials about a refurbished Galaxy Note7 making its way back onto the market, Samsung finally set the record straight in March, when it announced that it would be re-releasing the handset in some regions. This was counter to what the company stated prior when it claimed it would dispose of all of the units. After completing its investigation and finding that the battery was the culprit, the firm is set to release its "new" unit with word that it will arrive with a smaller 3200mAh battery and a new name.

Although the initial reports suggested it would be dubbed the Galaxy Note7R, it has now been uncovered that the handset could possibly arrive as the Galaxy Note FE. Naturally, this bit of information isn't coming from an official source, but luckily we might not have to wait long, as Korea could be getting the first batch sometime in June.
