Star Control: Origins gamescom trailer shows a darker path humans can take

Star Control: Origins, Stardock's upcoming space adventure title, is on track to launch later this year, with an ongoing testing phase in the now third Fleet Battles Beta. Today, the developer released a new trailer just as gamescom is kicking off, but its quite different in tone to previous showcases.

As seen below, the new "By Any Means Necessary" trailer shows a different path that players can take on their journey to save Earth from the alien Scryve empire, driving home the point that being nice is not the only option.

It was recently announced that the Chuck and Firefly star Adam Baldwin has joined the game's voice cast, portraying a mercenary commander that players will go up against.

Slated for launch on September 20 later this year, Star Control: Origins pre-orders are available via Steam, GOG, as well as through the Stardock store. Also, everyone who pre-orders get access to the aforementioned Fleet Battles Beta 3 immediately.
