After promising that it would launch its 5G service before the end of 2018, AT&T has finally revealed when it will go live. Select customers will be able to use a 5G hotspot starting this Friday.

AT&T announced today that it's completed the first mobile 5G browsing session, and that it will roll out 5G in 12 cities this year, with 19 more next year. The first 5G device is a mobile hotspot.
