In a blog post today, Microsoft confirmed that with the upcoming spring update to Windows 10, S Mode will be available for all editions of the OS, and upgrades to full Windows will be free.

A new Windows 10 roadmap of consumer SKUs for partners and changes coming to the Windows 10 S SKU has reportedly been revealed. Five new SKUs will be offered to partners with the next major release.
Today begins the first Bug Bash for the previews of the next feature update to Windows 10, version 1803. One of the quests is to convert a PC to 'S Mode', and that includes Windows 10 Home.
