Sony made a point at its E3 2017 event to show off that there are numerous VR titles in the pipeline. While The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim should be interesting, it'll be the new games that were built from the ground up that will most likely catch the consumers eye.
The Inpatient puts players in the uncomfortable position of taking control of a character that is being held in a sanatorium. While it is not mentioned in the trailer, The Inpatient looks to be connected with the survival horror adventure game Until Dawn, taking place 60 years prior to the aforementioned title. While Until Dawn was not a VR game, it's spin-off, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, was released for the PlayStation VR late last year.
Sony did not announce a release date for the game with the trailer simply stating that The Inpatient is currently in development.
