Withings Move: Unboxing and quick overview

During CES 2019, Withings introduced two new activity watches, the Move and Move ECG. While the ECG model hasn't been released quite yet, the Move has been available since late March. We were finally able to get our hands on a unit and thought we'd do a quick unboxing and overview of the device.

Perhaps one of the first things you might notice with the Move is that it has a very simplistic design, making use of analog dials. This is a good thing as the watch can easily pair with any look and can hold its own in most social situations. As far as construction goes, the watch is primarily made from plastic, with exception to the stainless steel plate on the rear. The watch straps are made from a very supple silicone that feels good around the wrist.

Although the watch is quite simple in looks, it does have the capability to track different physical activities like walking, running, sleeping, swimming and more. You won't be able to check your stats directly from the watch, but there is a progress bar that will show you how close you are to your goal. If you're looking to find more details, you can always check the Health Mate app, which goes into more details.

Unlike other fitness tracking watches, the Move doesn't require a charge, and can last up to 18 months. When the watch is out of power, you can purchase a new watch battery, model CR2430, from your local store. We will be putting the Move through its paces and should have another video sometime next week. If you have any questions about the device or want things tested, be sure to comment below or on the video.
