Cities: Skylines - Xbox One Edition is now available

As initially announced in March, Cities: Skylines - Xbox One Edition has now been made available, with its new release trailer seen above. The Paradox Interactive-published, highly popular city builder arrives for the Microsoft console two years after its PC debut, as the game's first foray into the console space.

For those unfamiliar with the game, its description reads:

Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition puts you in charge of a growing city – from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Design, build, and manage the city of your dreams, from public services to civic policies, and challenge yourself to grow from a simple town to a bustling metropolitan hub.

The game's After Dark expansion is also included in the Xbox One version, which adds a day-night cycle among other features. These involve new mechanics that affect the city depending on the time of day, such as variances to traffic and earning rates of commercial districts, further increasing the factors to consider when managing a city.

However, there's no information on when the remaining two expansions from its PC version, Snowfall and Natural Disasters, will arrive to the Xbox One. Meanwhile, Paradox Interactive announced the Mass Transit expansion for the game's PC version earlier this month, slated for a release in May.

Xbox One owners who are looking for an engaging city builder on their console can now purchase Cities: Skylines - Xbox One Edition via the Microsoft Store, for $39.99.
