Although Samsung announced its refreshed Galaxy J3 and Galaxy J7 for the European market last month, it appears that the firm will now bring the unlocked versions of the handsets to the United States. The smartphones will be made available at retail locations, enterprise distributors, and the company's own website starting on Friday.

For those looking for something affordable, yet stylish, the Galaxy J3 will most likely be the best option as it comes priced at $149.99 and has a reasonable set of specifications. Along with its 5.0-inch 720p display, it will also pack a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, a 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front-facing camera. As for storage it will have 16GB onboard, along with a microSD slot for expansion up to 256GB, and be powered by a 2,600mAh removable battery.

If you require a bit more power, you’ll want to turn your attention to the $219.99 Galaxy J7. The device offers a 5.5-inch 720p display, 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. As for storage, we are looking at 16GB onboard, along with expansion via microSD slot, and a 3,300mAh removable battery.

As mentioned before, these unlocked handsets will be available in the US starting on July 28.
