Nvidia DLSS will double the performance in System Shock remake and The Fabled Woods

Last month, Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology was released as a plugin for Unreal Engine 4 (UE4), the 4.26 version to be more precise. The plugin has been designed for the easier integration of the technology into games.

Following that, today Nvidia has announced that Nightdive Studios' System Shock remake demo - for which the developer launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter back in 2016 -, and CyberPunch Studios' upcoming title The Fabled Woods are receiving DLSS with the help of the UE4 plugin. While only the DLSS feature is coming to the System Shock demo, The Fabled Woods will also be getting additional ray-traced (RT) graphical enhancements which include ray-traced reflections, global Illumination, and shadows.

It is unclear as of now whether DLSS will also be present in the full game in System Shock or is it only a part of the demo. The Fabled Woods demo is also out, though the RT-based technologies in that are only present in the main game, and are not a part of the demo.

Some performance numbers for the two games with DLSS enabled have also been shared by Nvidia, and if these are to be believed, users can expect to get more than double the frames over native resolution.

The Fabled Woods releases exactly in a week on the 25th, while the System Shock remake has its arrival planned in summer this year.
