Samsung launches a plethora of Galaxy phones in India

With the unveiling of Samsung Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 earlier, Samsung has also officially announced Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 in India. The four new phones target the mid-end price range in the country, have unibody design and come bundled with some pretty decent specifications and features as well:

Samsung Galaxy A3

  • 6.9 mm thickness
  • 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU
  • 1.5 GB RAM
  • 4.5” qHD Super AMOLED screen
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • ​8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front
  • 16GB storage + MicroSD support
  • 1,900 mAh battery

Samsung Galaxy A5

  • 6.7 mm thickness
  • 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 5” HD Super AMOLED screen
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing
  • 16GB storage + MicroSD support
  • 2,300 mAh battery

Samsung Galaxy E5

  • 1.2 GHz quad-Core CPU
  • 1.5 GB RAM
  • 5" HD Super AMOLED screen
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing
  • 16 GB storage + MicroSD support
  • 2400 mAh battery

Samsung Galaxy E7

  • 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 5.5" HD Super AMOLED screen
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front-facing
  • 16 GB storage + MicroSD support
  • 2950 mAh battery

​All four phones have dual-SIM support, run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC and have non-removable batteries. Only the Samsung Galaxy A5 supports LTE. The A-series has an aluminum unibody whereas the E-series has a Polycarbonate unibody.

The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are priced at Rs. 20,500 (~325 USD) and Rs. 25,500 ($400 USD) respectively. The Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 will sell for Rs. 19,300 ($300 USD) and Rs. 23,000 ($360 USD) respectively.
