Meta has revealed its AR products roadmap for the next four years, during which the company will finally launch the much-awaited AR glasses that could potentially be the successor of smartphones.

At the Meta Connect 2022, Meta unveiled its VR headset: Meta Quest Pro. It also mentioned collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture to transform and connect workspaces with the Metaverse.

Microsoft and Meta have announced a partnership that will see the cloud game streaming platform, Xbox Cloud Gaming, arrive to the Meta Quest Store, offering its suite of Xbox games to Quest users.

Leaked Meta memos have indicated that the company isn't too happy with the progress and feedback of the Horizon Worlds metaverse and is considering forcing employees to use and love the project.

At IFA 2022 in Berlin, Meta and Qualcomm have signed an agreement. Qualcomm already makes custom silicon for Meta's VR headsets and will continue to do so for the future Quest lineup of devices.

During an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that the next VR headset from Meta will be announced at Meta's Connect conference in October.

Meta is making Horizon Worlds available today for owners of the Meta Quest 2 in the United States and Canada. You'll also need to be over 18 to enter this new virtual world and abide by several rules.
