The PlayStation Network is experiencing some issues, Sony confirmed on Thursday via a tweet. But the company promises it's investigating the issue and will work on providing a fix.
We’re aware that some users are experiencing issues logging into PSN. Thank you for your patience as we investigate: https://t.co/s026QGzJZr— Ask PlayStation (@AskPlayStation) June 13, 2019
You can check the status of the outage at any time by going over to the Network Service Status page for the PlayStation Network. At the time of writing this article, the page shows all the PSN services - Account Management, Gaming And Social, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Music - as not running properly.
Not only does this mean that you may have difficulties playing online multiplayer games with your friends but also that you may be unable to sign in to your account or access even single-player titles, unless you are using a physical disc. Buying new games off the Store or listening to your music may also exhibit issues.
Sony hasn't provided an ETA for a fix yet, beyond the tweet acknowledging the issue.
