Transcode 360 is an application that runs on your Media Center PC. This program allows you to encode almost any video format so that it can be viewed on your Xbox 360. Best of all, it does everything in real time and has support for pausing, skipping and rewinding. It is completely transparent and runs as a Windows service.
Beta 2 is currently available for free. However donations are encouraged. Beta 3 is in the works and should be released shortly. I have personally used Transcode 360 since beta 1 and love it. A $299 Xbox 360 is much cheaper than building another Media Center PC. =)
