Google Pixel March feature drop could include Dark mode scheduling, new Motion Sense gesture

Last December, Google announced the first feature drop for Pixel phones that added a bunch of new features to the phones. The company promised regular feature drops for the Pixels and it looks like another drop is right around the corner. The Pixel Tips app has received an update which reveals some of the new features that Google will include in the March 2020 feature drop.

Google added the ability to schedule Dark mode in Android 11 Developer Preview. However, Pixel owners will not have to wait until the release of Android 11 to enjoy this feature as Google will include it in the March feature drop. The feature will allow users to automatically enable/disable dark mode depending on sunrise/sunset or set a custom schedule for it.

The updated Pixel Tips app also hints at a new Cards & Passes feature. This will allow Pixel users to quickly access their Google Pay account from the power menu. If you heavily rely on Google Pay and have always wanted a faster way of accessing it, you will find this feature handy.

The March feature drop will also introduce a new Motion Sense gesture for the Pixel 4 that will allow users to quickly play/pause music with a simple "air tap." This gesture was also a part of the Android 11 Developer Preview. Lastly, there will be a new Personal Safety app for Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 that will add the car crash detection feature to them.

Google should release the March feature drop for Pixel phones early next week.
