Microsoft knows that owners of Xbox 360 consoles will be spending a lot of time playing games over the holidays. So it has decided to offer those gamers some special price cuts on Xbox Live Arcade games for the next 12 days. Every day Microsoft will announce a new daily deal on the Major Nelson web site and Twitter page ("Major Nelson" is in reality Microsoft's Larry Hyrb).
The first daily deal to be launched is Bastion, the recent fantasy action-RPG from SuperGiant Games. It is on sale for today only for 50 percent off its normal price. Remember this deal is just for today only; a new daily deal will be revealed tomorrow and for the next 11 days.
But that's not all. Microsoft has also cut the price of a number of other Xbox Live Arcade games by 50 percent from now until January 2, 2012. The games in this list include Portal: Still Alive, Peggle, Peggle Nights, Bloodrayne: Betrayal, Afterburner Climax, Plants vs. Zombies, Renegade Ops and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. In addition Microsoft has also cut the price for a number of Xbox Live Avatar items by 50 percent along with the Rockstar Pass for LA Noire.
