Microsoft opens pre-orders for Lumia 950, 950 XL and Display Dock in Russia

Microsoft opened pre-orders on its Band 2, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book last week - and in fact, the all-new Book has proved so popular that there's now a wait of up to eight weeks for some models. But while Microsoft announced pricing for its new Lumia 950 and 950 XL, its pre-order book has so far remained closed for those devices.

But today, the official Microsoft store in Russia opened pre-orders for the new Windows 10 Mobile flagships. The 5.2-inch Lumia 950 is priced at 44,990 RUB (roughly $730 USD), while the range-topping 5.7-inch Lumia 950 XL costs 49,990 RUB ($810 USD).

The new Display Dock - which enables Phone Continuum functionality on the handsets - is also available to pre-order in Russia, priced at 6,990 RUB ($115). The dock allows users to connect a mouse and keyboard to the phone, and then hook up the phone to a monitor or TV, effectively turning the handset into a mini-PC, including a desktop-style Windows 10 interface and Start menu.

If you're thinking of pre-ordering one of these devices, be sure to check out our hands-on first impressions of the Lumia 950, 950 XL and Display Dock.
