Yesterday, we reported about a mysterious countdown that appeared on the OnePlus website. Today, it has been revealed that a new handset will be arriving, but it's not what you might have hoped.
Rather than offer up an entirely new device, OnePlus has instead released a "new" color of its existing 3T handset. The all-black color is being dubbed Midnight Black and is the same color that was previously seen only on the highly limited Colette Edition. While this unit will be made more widely available in time, OnePlus will first only release 250 of these units, in a special collaboration with lifestyle website HYPEBEAST. The sale of these units will start on March 24.
Those located in the US and EU will be able to purchase the Midnight Black unit on the OnePlus website at a later date. The Midnight Black edition will come with 128GB of storage and will be priced at $479. If the color or additional storage doesn't interest you, you can also opt for the standard 3T at $439.
