Sony introduces the Xperia Z5 Premium, the world's first 4K smartphone

For the most part, Sony has had a fairly consistent release of smartphones for the past couple of years. While they weren't the most exciting, they did offer modern specifications in a sleek package. Today, Sony broke the mold by offering the world’s first 4K smartphone, the Xperia Z5 Premium.

As previously mentioned, the Xperia Z5 Premium will offer a 5.5-inch 4K display that will have a pixel count of 806ppi. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor and have 3GB RAM. Sony has also decided to improve the camera and has upped the megapixel count to 23MP. Naturally, the new Xperia X5 Premium will still offer protection from the elements and will be waterproof and dust tight rated at IP 65/68. The full specifications can be found below.
