Microsoft has released firmware updates for the Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3

Microsoft has pushed out new firmware updates for both the Surface 3 and the Surface Pro 3. The updates are available now and can be downloaded by searching for updates with Windows Update.

For the Surface Pro 3, here is what's new (only updated support for Windows 10):

Windows 10

  • HD Graphics Family driver update (v10.18.15.4248) improves graphics performance and stability on Windows 10.
  • Audio driver update (v6.0.1.7543) improves the Cortana experience on Windows 10.
  • USB driver update (v10.0.10125.31214) improves system power usage.

For the Surface 3 - Microsoft has not updated their firmware log page as of this time.

While didn't expect there to be any issues with this update as it installed on both of my Surfaces without any issues, as noted in the comments, some users are running into 0x80246013; let us know if this is happening to you.

Update: This update also applies to the Surface Pro 2
