Microsoft offers new Deals with Gold savings of up to 80% on Xbox games

Times are tough, and they're even tougher on our bank accounts, so it's not always easy to justify spending big bucks on video games. Mind you, it's a bit easier to splash out when there are savings to be enjoyed (when it costs half as much, you can buy twice as many, right?).

Microsoft is hoping that its latest Deals with Gold savings can tempt Xbox Live Gold members to part with their hard-earned dollars, with up to 80% off a range of games and add-ons, including a few well-known titles.

For the Xbox One, Tomb Raider and Strider can both be purchased at half-price. The add-on Killer Instinct: Sabrewolf can be snapped up with a whopping 80% off its regular price; this latter deal is available for Xbox Live Gold and Silver members.

The choice is a bit broader for the older Xbox 360, with Deadfall Adventures offering the biggest discount of 80%. Five more games - Bully, LA Noire, Midnight Club LA, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption - are on sale with similarly large savings of 75% off their normal price.

There are also discounts on a range of Xbox 360 game add-ons, available for Xbox Live Gold and Silver members: Max Payne 3 - R Pass gets 75% off; Saints Row: The Third Season Pass and Online Pass both get 50% off; and Saints Row IV Season Pass is available with 60% off its list price.

These deals are available through to June 23, 2014. If you've got an Xbox One, don't forget that Microsoft finally made Games with Gold available for that console earlier this month, so be sure to grab your two free games if you haven't done so already.
