Within hours, the device sold out, although Microsoft continued to promote it at that price on its Windows phone overview page for two weeks, despite the device remaining out of stock for all that time. Now, though, the Microsoft Store has replenished its stock of the Liquid Jade Primo, and is once again offering the handset for £199.
On the face of it, that seems like an incredibly low price for a mobile flagship - but it's worth bearing in mind that the Liquid Jade Primo isn't exactly a new device. It was originally announced in September 2015, although it didn't actually go on sale until earlier this year. Its key specs include:
5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080px) AMOLED screen
Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor
3GB RAM
32GB storage (plus microSD card support up to 128GB)
21MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 4K (3840x2160px) video recording
8MP front-facing camera with Full HD (1920x1080px) video recording
