Lumia 950 XL (Cityman) said to use virtual buttons

As we grow closer to the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft's plans for its mobile flagships are coming into focus. A leak by Windows Central already gave us an idea of what will be under the hood of these devices and another leak by Evan Blass also gave us more information about color options and the Microsoft branding for these phones. Now, Windows Central has updated its report with renders of what the Cityman will probably look like, along with the assertion that it will feature on-screen buttons.

The renders were described by their sources as being "...like the real thing." Windows Central has a fairly accurate track record and the renders hold many similarities to the Surface line's design - a likely outcome as both are now spearheaded by the same man - lending credence to that statement.

Microsoft has traditionally favored capacitive buttons on its devices so it will be an interesting departure for the company but one which makes sense, as it allows for a smaller bezel at the bottom and - according to some, at least - provides a better experience. No details were given on whether its smaller sibling, Talkman, will also follow suit, unfortunately.

CEO Satya Nadella admitted recently that the company did not have suitable flagships in the market but promised that this would soon change. This leak gives us a glimpse at what that future will look like, with both the Cityman and Talkman devices featuring high-end specs, such as a Snapdragon 810 and copious amounts of RAM, along with an iris scanner.. The phones are certainly impressive and, hopefully, will be enough to sate Microsoft fans who have been waiting for a new flagship for quite some time now.
