Microsoft Forms adds new features to streamline access and distribution of forms

Microsoft announced today a bevy of new features that are coming to Forms this month. These updates bring improvements to the way you create and distribute forms.

One of these changes is the ability to format text in forms. That means you'll soon be able to bold, italicize, or underline any text content. To do that, you must first highlight a text and then choose any formating style via the floating toolbar. Of course, you can also use the typical keyboard shortcuts. The new formatting capability is rolling out later this month.

In addition, if you've created a poll or quiz, Forms is letting you specify the people in your organization who can respond to it. This feature works on mobile as well, either via an Office app or a mobile web browser.

By the end of this month, form respondents will be able to download or print a copy of their responses to a form or quiz, assuming the creator enables this feature. The new capability will be available to respondents from within or outside your organization. That said, form respondents from within your organization can still ask for a receipt of their form via email.

Microsoft has also rolled out a new landing page for Forms both on desktop and mobile browsers. The new interface lets you find the most recent form you've used, pin forms, search for forms shared with you, access group forms at the bottom of the page under Microsoft 365, and more capabilities to access forms. It is accessible to those who have an Enterprise, Business, Education, or Personal account.

Immersive reader is also now available to anonymous users. Finally, Microsoft has expanded the capacity for polls in other Microsoft 365 apps by an additional 200 in addition to the current 200 limit. This applies only to polls you create starting this month.
