Tesla goes vegan, offers alternative interior option for Model X

Elon Musk and his Tesla brand of vehicles have been at the forefront of EV automotive tech and also introducing autonomous driving to the masses. With previous requests from buyers and backers, the company will now offer a vegan interior option for its upcoming SUV, the Model X.

We've covered the Model X before, when they announced the new SUV in late September. But, at the time, many were fixated on the unique 'Falcon Wings' and 'bioweapon defense mode'. Although the SUV offers a number of revolutionary features, perhaps one that many previous buyers and backers have requested of Tesla is the use of alternate materials in the interior. Luckily, Tesla has created a new alternative luxury option for the Model X, that will be fully vegan.

If you fancy getting yourself a brand new EV SUV, the Model X is currently available for pre-order with a $5000 USD deposit. The vehicle will come in several options with the base MSRP to be set at $80,000. For those that don't have the budget for the Model S or X will be happy to know that Tesla is expected to introduce a more affordable vehicle, the 'Model 3' in 2016.
