Xbox Games with Gold for January 2017 announced

Microsoft today announced the Games with Gold for January, 2017. If you're an Xbox Live Gold member, you should definitely be cashing in on this every month, as it provides four free games (two Xbox One and two backward compatible Xbox 360). All you have to do is claim it during the required dates.

Here are this month's Games with Gold:

World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap (Xbox One, January 1 - 31)

Killer Instinct Season2 Ultra Edition (Xbox One, January 16 - February 15)

The Cave (Xbox 360, January 1 - 15)

"The Cave is a new adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the award-winning studio behind Psychonauts and Brütal Legend. Assemble your team of three from seven unlikely adventurers, each with their own unique personalities and stories, then descend into the mysterious depths to explore locations including a subterranean amusement park and a medieval castle, not to mention a fully armed and ready-to-launch nuclear tipped ICBM. The Cave awaits."

Rayman Origins (Xbox 360, January 16 - 31)

Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman®, Beyond Good & Evil® and the Raving Rabbids® returns to his roots to bring us Rayman® Origins: a new 4-player co-op comic adventure set in a lush, 2D world, teeming with unexpected secrets and outlandish enemies. When the Glade of Dreams is overrun by “nefurrious” Darktoons, it is up to Rayman and his buddies Globox and the Teensies to save the day. Their challenge, restore peace to the Glade or witness their beloved home vanish like a bad dream... A Massive Universe to Explore: Over 100 characters, 12 unique worlds and 60+ levels filled with countless secrets. Crazy Moves & Gameplay: Unleash wild moves as you jump, punch, fly and slap your way through an adventure filled with action, platforming beat-’em-up gameplay and slapstick comedy. Epic Boss Fights: Take on a giant pink monster with hundreds of eyes... A possessed, mountainous golem... An evil daisy-cum-carnivorous plant...more!

Note that the two Xbox One titles currently do not have listings in the Store, and therefore do not offer descriptions.

Don't forget that you've still got time to claim some of this month's Games with Gold. Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition (Xbox One) and Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360) are available until the end of the month, and Outlast (Xbox One) is available until January 15.

The only things that you have to do to get these four games for free every month is to be an Xbox Live Gold member, and claim them between the specified dates. Remember, if you ever cancel your subscription, you get to keep the Xbox 360 games (which are always backward compatible), but you lose the Xbox One games.
