Instagram Stories now lets you overlay stickers, record hands-free and download entire Story

Instagram Stories is one of many social platforms trying to take the limelight away from the popular "new" kid on the block, Snapchat. With its fun range of filters becoming so popular, Instagram wants a piece of the pie and its latest update rolls out a range of very useful features.

Most notably, Instagram Stories will now include the ability to overlay stickers onto your images and videos. You can take your pick between weather, time and location based stickers and just pop them onto your posts - and just like Snapchat, you can pinch and zoom to make the stickers bigger or smaller. Interestingly, your followers can tap on the location stickers to explore that specific place in more detail, although your story won't appear on the location feed/page itself.

With the holiday season upon us, Instagram has also rolled out stickers with snowmen, gingerbread men, Christmas trees, candy canes and more.

Conveniently for those of you who record video on Instagram, the app now lets you record with a single tap too; no more need to awkwardly hold down the record button. And lastly is the ability to download an entire story as one single video as opposed to multiple little clips & photos.

All of these updates to Instagram Stories will be available on Instagram version 10.3 on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
