Microsoft expands Chrome extension to add a bit more Skype to your life

Microsoft has released the latest update to its Skype extension for Google's Chrome web browser, helping to more deeply integrate its communication platform across more of your web experiences.

"With the latest update of the Skype extension for Chrome," Microsoft said today, "you can create and insert Skype call links with just one click or tap, from right within your email, calendar item, or tweet."

The extension offers support to add a Skype call link when composing a new email in Gmail...

...in Google Inbox...

...and on Outlook.com:

You can also create Skype call links in calendar items on Outlook.com...

...as well as in Google Calendar:

And for those who spend a lot of their time on Twitter, the extension will also enable them to "add a Skype call link for an 'Ask Me Anything', webinar, or open meeting while you're composing your tweet:

The latest version of the Skype extension is available to download now from the Google Chrome store.
