Blackbird Interactive has lowered the PC system requirements for its upcoming space-based RTS sequel Homeworld 3. It's also revealed some details about the first year of its post-release content.

Game publisher Take-Two Interactive has confirmed plans to lay off 5 percent of its total workforce by the end of 2024. It also will cancel the development of a number of its upcoming games.

Take Two Interactive has acquired Gearbox Entertainment from The Embracer Group for $460 million. The announcement also confirms Gearbox is working on a new game in the Borderlands franchises.

Embracer Group is reportedly close to finishing deals to sell off two of its major subsidiaries. Gearbox Entertainment and Saber Interactive are the development and publishing wings in question.

Gearbox Entertainment, the makers behind the Borderlands franchise and publisher of titles like Remnant II, may be being put up for sale again. Embracer is reportedly in talks with buyers.
