Windows Insiders can now use Your Phone to reply to notifications

The Your Phone app on Windows 10 is getting a new feature for Windows Insiders, which lets users reply to notifications through the app. Right now, while the Your Phone app can display and dismiss notifications, it's not really possible to interact with them in any other way without picking up the phone. With this update, you should be able to reply to messages and other notifications.

The new feature was announced on Twitter by Microsoft Senior Program Manager Aarthi Hatter. While the announcement says it'll work on the notifications page and through the notification toasts, only the latter seems to work based on our testing.

The Your Phone app has received a handful of minor improvements over the past couple of weeks. The app can now display your phone's battery level, and the phone icon on the app can also reflect the wallpaper you're using instead of using a generic background. It's also expected to get the ability to make calls sometime soon.

As mentioned above, the update is only available for Windows Insiders, but it should head to the general public soon enough.
