Today, AdDuplex published its monthly usage breakdown for Windows devices. It's based on the 5,000 or so Microsoft Store apps that use the AdDuplex SDK, and the data was collected over the date of December 20.
The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update has seen a significant boost in adoption since last month. As of November 27, it was only installed on 20.4% of Windows 10 machines, and now it's on 53.6%. Obviously, the Creators Update saw the largest decline, falling from 63.5% to 33.7%.
The Anniversary Update fell from 13.6% to 10.5%, and that should continue to decline. Versions 1511 and 1507, the two oldest versions of Windows 10, saw modest declines, falling by 0.2 and 0.1, respectively. The amount of RS4 Insiders remains the same at 0.4%.
We can see that the Fall Creators Update has rolled out much more quickly than the Creators Update did; however, the Anniversary Update had an even faster pace than that, jumping from 34..7% to 77.1% in October, 2016.
As we can see from the above image, some regions are adopting the Fall Creators Update at a faster pace than others. Canada and some Western European countries are well over 60%, and the U.S. is at 56.9%. May countries in Africa and South America are still around 30%, although that might be attributed to slower internet connections.
The final graph shows the top PC manufacturers by country, and only the three global brands show up in all regions, which is HP, Lenovo, and ASUS. We can see that Dell has a strong presence in the U.S. and India, but little presence in Russia. HP, as the top PC manufacturer, is strong across the board.
