Dell makes the updated Venue 8 Pro 5000 available, hopes to tempt you with Full HD and LTE

Recently, Dell has been pushing some tidy Windows 10 devices. The recently announced Inspiron 11 3000 is there for the budget conscious, and for IT professionals, the more powerful Latitude 13 7370 is claimed to be the smallest ultrabook in the world.

One device we have covered in the past is the Dell Venue 8 Pro. And after launching in November 2013, the device is receiving a hardware refresh for 2016 in the form of the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000.

In addition to the above spec, if you’re willing to splash another $40, you can get Dell’s Active Pen, for any scribbling or doodling.

Currently, Dell list the Venue 8 Pro 5000 as $641 for the base model. Customizing is limited to the OS – Windows 10 Home drops $50 from the final price – accessories and warranty. However, get in now and you can pick up the base model for $449.

While this is a nice tablet, with a decent spec for its price, we have to stress there are other tablets available that, while not just as powerful, are much more affordable, and will give you a comparable Windows 10 user experience to the Venue 8 Pro 5000.
