Google pushes dynamic email to Gmail for Android and iOS

Google first revealed its plan to modernize email with AMP for Email in February of last year. The goal was to make email more interactive and actionable, and that plan materialized with the rollout of dynamic email to the Gmail web client in March 2019.

Today, Google announced that dynamic email is available on Gmail for Android and iOS starting today. The feature is available for G Suite users and admins won't have to manually activate the feature as it is turned on by default.

With this feature, email on mobile devices will be richer and more engaging in terms of content as it lets you take action directly within a message. For example, you can RSVP to an event invitation, respond to a comment, or make a purchase for products you've shopped online without leaving Gmail. What's more interesting about this capability is that dynamic email content can stay up to date, which is useful when you're viewing the status of your order or a job posting, for example, within an email.

During the developer preview stage of AMP for Email, several brands including Booking.com, Despegar, Doodle, Ecwid, Freshworks, Nexxt, OYO Rooms, and Pinterest embraced the feature.
