For something that comes along HP's mid-range Pavilion brand, the new Pavilion x360 14 is pretty solid. And one major thing stands out to me: it has 4G LTE. Indeed, at $699, 4G LTE is something that simply doesn't exist for PCs, so I'm impressed already.
The internal specs are just about what you'd expect. It has an Intel Core i5-1035G1 and 8GB of RAM, which is perfectly adequate. The 14-inch screen has a 1080p resolution, so there's nothing out of the ordinary there. It's also a bit thicker and a bit heavier than the Envy x360 that I just reviewed.
But HP didn't stop at 4G LTE for this convertible. It has some seriously upgraded ports, like USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C and HDMI 2.0. Honestly, I still see plenty of flagship PCs using HDMI 1.4, and with HDMI 2.0, you can output to a 4K monitor at 60Hz. In fact, using those two ports, you can use a 4K monitor on each of them.
