Microsoft's PR train keeps chugging along, teams up with Ellen

While we can't admit that we regularly watch the Ellen show, we can be a bit envious that we were not at today's program. Microsoft teamed up with the talk show to give away loads of goods (and gain some helpful PR) by handing out a new Windows Phone, the HTC Radar 4G, and also a Kinect Xbox bundle to the audience members.

The important thing to note here is that Microsoft is targeting every demographic with its holiday PR campaigns. The Ellen show, we presume, is a bit of a different demographic than say those of you reading this post which will help expand the brand recognition of Microsoft's latest platform.

Microsoft is looking to spread the word about its products this holiday season at every turn. While the Kinect + Xbox has been doing exceptionally well, Microsoft is hoping to have Windows Phone follow in its footprint. Knowing that the target audience was mostly women, they clearly know the value in targeting all groups as the Windows Phone platform has been proven to be versatile enough for every type of user.
