Microsoft showed off its upcoming immersive sim game Perfect Dark at the Xbox Showcase today. The thriller features high-tech gadgets, parkour, hand-to-hand combat, and plenty of spy elements.

Rumors from two sources claim that Microsoft may finally show off the long-in-development reboot of the Perfect Dark first-person shooter game franchise at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9.
A new report claims that there have been a number of issues that have affected the development of the Perfect Dark reboot since Microsoft first announced the game back in December 2020.
Tonight, The Initiative — the team responsible for the Perfect Dark reboot — announced that it was partnering with Crystal Dynamics of Tomb Raider fame, to develop the upcoming game.
Landing near the beginning of the annual Game Awards event was a surprise announcement from The Initiative, a studio unveiling its first project: a long-rumored Perfect Dark reboot.

Darrell Gallagher, the Studio Head of The Initiative, announced on LinkedIn that a number of veteran developers were joining the new Xbox Game Studios team from Crystal Dynamics and other studios.
Shoring up on it's first-party offering, Microsoft today announced it was adding Playground Games, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games and The Initiative to its Microsoft Studios family.
