'Tom Clancy's The Division' beta will be exclusively available on Xbox One this December

It feels like Tom Clancy's The Division has been in development forever and... well, let's just say this year's E3 isn't the first at which the game has made an appearance in Microsoft's keynote.

But today, at E3 2015, Ubisoft revealed that the first beta of the new game will finally launch in December, and it will be available exclusively on the Xbox One. The game will officially go on sale next year.

The highly anticipated game is set in New York City, in the aftermath of the devastating outbreak of a weaponized virus. While much of the population has been killed, many are still alive, and the secret Division helps to maintain and restore order in this ruined world.

Earlier today, Microsoft announced its new Elite controller for the Xbox One, aimed at 'hardcore' gamers.
