While tomorrow will see the release of Dead Space 2 in America, it won't arrive in Europe until Thursday or Friday. Those of you who want to get a new Dead Space fix sooner will be pleased to know that the iPhone/iPod release of the game will be available on the iTunes App Store tomorrow and has a new story for you to play through. We also have some news from DC Universe Online, an important patch for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on the PC and the new website for upcoming title Dungeons.

DC Universe Online - fastest selling SOE game ever

John Smedley, President of Sony Online Entertainment mentioned on his twitter feed yesterday that DC Universe Online has become the companies fastest selling game. He also made mentioned that the most popular format has turned out to the be the PlayStation 3 version, a good sign for the MMO as it is the first one that has made it to a console this generation. How the game will fair in the coming months when users have to pay their regular subscription fees is anyones guess, but it a great start for the game.

Dead Space lands on the iPhone tomorrow

Just like its bigger brother, Dead Space will arrive on the iTunes App Store tomorrow. The game has been designed for both the iPhone and the iPod touch and features an all new storyline based three years after the events of the first game. After a quick play through we can say that the game is excellent both graphically and gameplay wise, especially for those of you who have the luxury of an iPhone 4. The game is due to cost $6.99 when it is released at midnight.

Official site for Dungeons opens

With the release of Dungeons just over a week away, Kalypso have let us know that the new official website has opened. You can visit the official web site at https://dungeons-game.com, and learn more about Dungeons, a game that takes lots of its ideas from the old Dungeon Keeper games from Bullfrog. Dungeons has you taking on the role of the Dungeon Lords who becomes trapped by one of his devices. The game is released for Windows on February 4.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath patch v1.1 released

Today we have what we can only hope is the first of many more patches for the excellent, if extremely buggy Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on the PC. The patch fixes a number of issues with the game such as performance, resolution changes and more. Check out the full list of fixes from the Steam update below:

1. Fixed performance issues.
2. Fixed save game permissions issues. Save games and config file are now saved in “Program Files” to “\Documents\Oddworld\Stranger’s Wrath”.
3. Fixed controls “sticking” issues.
4. Fixed tutorial text – Camera mode switch button text.
5. Fixed turorial text – Camera reset button text.
7. Fixed broken achievement “Mine your business”
8. Fixed incorrect texts being displayed in controls Layout screens.
9. Fixed 5.1 and 7.1 audio.
10. Fixed Mouse lag.
11. Fixed issue with only 1 of 3 dialogue lines working in Jail house.
12. Fixed first person view on nVidia boards.

Additions and Changes

1. Added screen resolution selection to launcher.
2. Added v-sync option to launcher.
3. Added joystick selection to launcher.
4. Added customisable controls (See next section).
5. Added support for third party “generic” joypads.
6. Added widescreen support.
7. Re-authored Keyboard “layout” screen in options.
8. Removed automatic joypad detection.
