Microsoft's Lumia 640 and 640 XL will launch in India next week

Last month, Microsoft unveiled two new additions to its Windows Phone range: the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL. Both devices are targeted squarely at the lower end of the market - although their generous specs and enormous screens aim to offer big value to those with modest budgets.

Smartphone buyers in India will soon be able to get their hands on the new devices, as GSM Arena reports that Microsoft will launch both the Lumia 640 and 640 XL there next week. The company has sent out invites to Indian media for an event in Mumbai on Tuesday, April 7, with the tagline 'Inspiration doesn't only work 9 to 5!'
