Earlier this year, video game developer and publisher Bloober Team revealed The Medium during the May edition of Inside Xbox. Back when it was officially unveiled, it was also announced that the psychological horror title will feature the famed Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka.
Today the Polish video game-maker announced that its upcoming horror game has been delayed. The previously appointed launch window of Holiday 2020 has been pushed back to next year.
The reasons for the delay were stated to be difficulties caused by the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic and apparent clashing with other game releases around the same holiday 2020 period, perhaps referring to Cyberpunk 2077's new release date. Bloober Team also stated that it will take the extra time to improve the game and ensure a more polished end product.
The Medium is scheduled to arrive on the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Store. It will also be a day one arrival to Xbox Game Pass. The newly announced release date for the psychological horror title is January 28, 2021.
