Samsung's DeX Pad gets leaked, adding credibility to trackpad rumors

Later this month, Samsung is set to reveal the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ during its event at Mobile World Congress. While the focus will undoubtedly be on the handsets, the firm is also set to show off some new accessories as well. The DeX Pad has been rumored for a few months now and it looks like renders of the accessory have finally found their way online.

The images come courtesy of Evan Blass, who has been known in the past to be fairly accurate when it comes to information regarding unreleased products. The design of the DeX Pad is quite different from last year's iteration, as the docked handset will now lay flat, as opposed to being upright. If the rumors are accurate, the new position will allow the display of the handset to be used as a trackpad. If this does come to fruition, it would certainly make things more convenient for the user, as it would not require them to carry around a separate mouse.

Luckily, we won't have to wait long to see this device and the Galaxy S9, as Samsung will be holding its Unpacked event on February 25.
