Google has revealed that it banned over 190,000 malicious and spammy developers from the Play Store last year. Similarly, 1.2 million apps that violated Play Store policies were also removed.

Google is effectively killing off third-party call recorder apps in the Play Store by restricting access to its Accessibility APIs which were being used by developers to circumvent Google's policies.

Leaked engineering screenshots of iOS 14 suggest that the OS might receive a native call recorder feature. It will let users record incoming and outgoing calls for both phone and FaceTime calls.

Nokia has rolled out call recording support in the Google Phone app on some of its devices in India. Google could soon follow suit and add official call recording support in its Phone app for Pixels.

A teardown of the Google Phone app has revealed that the company is working on adding native call recording support to it. All Pixel and Android One smartphones lack the ability to record calls.

Today, Microsoft announced that its call recording feature for Skype is now available on most platforms, except for its own, Windows 10. In order to use it on Windows 10, you'll need the Electron app.
