Eight months after they were first announced, and five months after going on sale in the US and Canada, Microsoft opened pre-orders in the UK this week for the range-topping editions of its Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, featuring Intel Core i7 processors, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
The flagship Surface Book model, which includes a discrete GPU, is priced at £2,649, and Microsoft is also offering a free Maroo Leather Sleeve worth £44.95 with it. The 1TB Surface Pro 4 is priced at £2,199, and comes with a £45 store voucher.
But if you're pre-ordering these devices ahead of their release later this month, you can save a decent chunk of their considerable cost through a new cashback offer.
Online shopping network Quidco is offering £165 cashback to those who pre-order the 1TB Surface Book from the Microsoft Store, equivalent to 6.2% of its price. It's also offering £135 cashback on the 1TB Surface Pro, or around 6.1% of the device's cost.
You'll need a free Quidco account to take advantage of that deal. Once you're signed up, click through to the Microsoft Store from this page, so that your purchase will be tracked by Quidco. The company estimates that if you pre-order today, the cashback from the purchase will be paid into your Quidco account by early August, after which you can then withdraw it to your bank or PayPal account, or convert it to Amazon Gift Cards.
