You can now organize tasks across projects in Microsoft To-Do app with hashtags

Microsoft's To-Do app already has a number of ways to let you organize your tasks, including the Important tab which was introduced last month to help you mark important items in your lists with a star. Now, Microsoft has added a new way of sorting your notes across projects: hashtags.

The new feature is part of a new update to the productivity app on Windows 10 devices. With the latest update, you can add hashtags to your tasks so that it becomes easier and more flexible to search for them, especially if you have tons of lists in the app.

There are multiple ways to add hashtags to your tasks. You can add them to either the Notes section of a task or to the title of the task. The hashtags will then be highlighted so that, when clicked, all the related tasks bearing that particular hashtag will surface in a single page. You can also use hashtags in the search menu to view all of the tasks or notes to which you have added a specific hashtag.

Additionally, the update introduces the option to fix your account directly in the account menu if you are having a problem syncing your account or if you are seeing error messages. While the update is available only on Microsoft To-Do for Windows 10 at the moment, it is expected to arrive on other platforms in the near future.
