Contraband possibly features tactical vehicular combat

Contraband game titlecard

Contraband is an upcoming Microsoft exclusive that's referred to as a "co-op smuggling" game. We haven't heard much about the title aside from a cryptic teaser trailer, but luckily, Windows Central's Jez Corden provided more details about major gameplay elements. He has a proven track record when it comes to leaking news, so this is most likely accurate given the fact that he's seen promotional materials for the title.

Speaking during a World of Gaming livestream, Corden said that Contraband focuses on vehicular combat. However, it's not like Mad Max where you want to blow up any other vehicles around you. The goal is to take out tires and disable other important parts of your rivals' cars so that they're out of commission. Killing enemies is considered to be the last resort and may be frowned upon.

Avalanche Studios, the team behind titles like Just Cause 4, is working on the game. The team is known for bombastic experiences that push consoles to their limits due to their games' destructible environments. It's unclear if Contraband will have that, but we can definitely expect a lot of explosions given Avalanche Studios' past projects.
