Google's Jamboard is now available for purchase, rolling stand costs an extra $1,199

It has been quite some time since Google announced its $4,999 Jamboard. But, the company has kept its word, making the collaborative whiteboard available during the month of May in the United States.

The Jamboard is a special collaborative device that allows people to interact with the main display using their supported Android and iOS devices. Although input is received from different sources, the work is saved using Google Drive.

Google Jamboard specifications include:

• 55-inch 4K UHD display
• HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C , USB 3.0 x 2
• SPDIF audio out
• Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2x2, NFC
• 1 Gigabit Ethernet port
• Built-in wide angle camera, microphones, and speakers

For those interested, you can head to the purchase link and choose from three different color options: Carmine Red, Cobalt Blue, and Graphite Gray. Along with your new Jamboard, you'll also get two styluses, an eraser, and a wall mount. If you want to keep your unit mobile and like the rolling stand that can be seen in the promotional video above, you'll be looking to spend an extra $1199.

As part of the purchase, you'll be required to have a G Suite plan. This is what provides the collaborative backbone, with the Jamboard running a specialized version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Also for a limited time, there will be a promotion that discounts the annual management and support fee from $600 to $300 per year.
