Master Chief and the Blood Gulch map head to Fortnite

While Halo Infinite is a while away, Halo fans can now play as Master Chief in Fortnite. The outfit plus matching addons are now available in the battle-royale game, alongside a new island map.

Following the Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 4 collaboration announcement at The Game Awards, Microsoft announced another cross-over at the event, this time happening with Fortnite. While Halo fans have a long wait ahead of them for Infinite, they can now play as Master Chief in the free-to-play battle royale as part of Chapter 2 – Season 5.

The Master Chief set is now available in the Item Shop, offering the complete MJOLNIR outfit, Gravity Hammer Pickaxe, UNSC Pelican Glider, a miniature Pelican carrier, Battle Legend Back Bling, a Warthog Emote, and a holographic Elite skull trophy. Moreover, Xbox Series X|S players who pick up the Master Chief outfit will unlock a special Matte Black as an exclusive style.

Meanwhile, the iconic Blood Gulch map from Halo is coming to Fortnite as a Creative Island space. Presented at the awards show by the Red vs Blue web series' characters, the recreation features Capture the Flag as a mode as a nod to the original. It will be presented in the Featured Hub for easy access starting at 10 AM ET on December 11.
